OK. Thought this was a question that would get a quick answer so maybe I worded it wrong. Can anyone tell me what the correct tappet/valve gap is for a 30 VL? I have two restoration books and amaizingly neither shows what the gap should be.

I am guessing 6 - 8 intake and 8 to 10 thou exhaust would work fine, it does on Indian flat heads - good luck

According to the 1930 74" Twin Riders Handbook it's 4 to 5 thou for the inlet and 6 to 7 for the exhaust.
