  • 1932 R Springer Question

Just wondering if anyone has an exploded drawing or a few good pictures showing the positions of all the washers and everything for assembly of my 1932 R Springer front end? I received it completely apart and in boxes and want to make sure it goes back together correctly and that all the correct pieces sourounding the rockers are in the right spots.

Any photos of an assembled setup would be very helpful also.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Good luck on the exploded drawing. Harley didn't publish them until the post-war WL Service Manuals.
Which, for the D or R 45s is the first place I'd look. The old I-beam springers weren't that much different from the tapered hollow tube forks of 1940 and later, especially in the area of the rockers. Here: http://www.dl45homepage.com/
Advertising Johnny Sells' DL & RL restoration guide (very, very good on the subject) on the first page. Good luck with your adventure!
