I have a repo 19" VL rim I want to lace with stock VL spokes and nipples. The nipple holes in the rim measure 1/4" in diameter, however my stock spoke nipples measure a larger approx .02835 in diameter. Am I correct that these rims come drilled with smaller nipple holes for use with early model JD light weight spoke nipples and you have to enlarge holes with a drill for later VL spokes? The info with rim says it fits JD and VL. I want to be sure before I screw up a good rim. Thanks!!
