  • Rebuilt 45 break-in procedure

Have a rebuilt 45 engine that has been in storage for many years now. Can't track down the rebuilder to ask this question, but, what is the standard procedure for breaking it in once its running? Its going in a 50 servicar. I'm sure there's several schools of thought on it, but any methods that work will be much appreciated

I hope this works. Here's a picture from a military book on the procedures.

If you can't make out what's required, give me your email address and I'll send you a pdf or jpeg.

Always start by bleeding the feed oil line at the pump input,,remove the return line to the oil tank, remove the plugs and kick until you see oil going to the tank
