    VL History ?

Does anyone know if HD has archived information about the history of their flathead sales? In particular, I'm attempting to find the first owner(s) of my project VLD. I found Service Shop Dope (volume 2) bulletins - No. 133 and No. 135 - requesting dealers send in registration cards for each motorcycle sold. Does anyone know if this information is archived at the HD museum or equivalent organization? Would it be obtainable if archived? Anyone have any luck in this area?

That's been discussed before, ad nauseum. Harley used to keep meticulous records, but all those moldy registration cards were tossed in the dumpster after AMF took over in '69. Nothing remains nearly that far back to help shed light on V models.

That is a shame that info isn't around anymore, as I would have like to know the who, what, where and when stuff too. I have the same problem with my Road Runner.... It seems Ma MOPAR had got rid of their records for that period of time. BAH!
