    1945 Engine Detail

I’m still trying to sort through a couple of details for a 1945WL. This time it’s about engine detail. Here’s what a think I know, please correct me if I’m wrong.

1)- Oil pump and tappet guides get painted white?
2)-Valve covers get a dull cad plating?
3)- Carb body to be painted black?
4)- What finish if any did the intake manifolds have?

I kind of question if the factory took the time to paint the tappet guides white back then, but maybe they did? I’m getting down to crunch time on this engine and even if I don’t do everything the best it can be done, I’d still like to know how it was supposed to be done.
