    Just saw a 1937 WLD that looks great, Teak Red,older restoration, but very correct from what I know. Were aluminum heads available in 1937? That was most obvious question I have. Trying to get history and who restored it.

    No. The factory introduced their aluminum heads in mid-1939. There were aluminum heads available aftermarket since around 1935 and the factory started testing aluminum heads in 1936 but not for public use.

    The 1937 WLD has iron heads with three ribs on the underside of the outer edge to signify the high compression of the WLD model.
