I want to rebuild a repop coil for my VD which has failed after little use. I have taken the bottom cap off and want to know if anyone has had success removing everything from inside. Also what could I put inside the old case to make a reliable coil out of the miseable failure that it was or is it better to have someone wind one.

I have never done it myself. Bud Ekins used to use a Honda 6 Volt Two Wire coil in his.Be sure to visit;
