battery holder help

hallo,

i buy a frame for a 1947 WL where is the holder on the seatpost( for the battery -holder) not exist. the last owner cut the part. now i want to build a new holder to weld on the seatpost like the original.
i need the distance from the seatpost to the hole in the holder. can somebody help me?

If it was me, because the battery box mounts to the fender AND the frame in two places, I would bolt the fender in place then mount the battery to it and the frame THEN make my piece for the seat post mount. That way you would get perfect placement.
