    sidecar alignment guide

    Gentlemen,
I need to locate a sidecar alignment guide! The MC is a 1946 Indian with a 1947 SC, the two are already connected. I want to check for the proper alignment before my first adventure! Thank you in advance🇺🇸

Go to sidecar.com. They have manuals and guides for setting one up.

When I set mine up years ago - 1948 Chief and Indian sidecar - as I recall, I leaned the motorcycle 3 degrees out from vertical and had a 5/8 in. length spacer between the lower rear mount and the motorcycle frame for toe-in. I also had the "brake equalizer" accessory and adjusted the side car wheel brake to engage just slightly before the rear brake on the motorcycle.
As you learn to handle it, it is like steering a boat with handlebars! They are heavy, so dont be geared too high. I think I changed to a 22 tooth drive sprocket on the rear chain.
        Have fun.
