I have a friend that is having trouble mounting the correct fender on his side car because of the step on the side car any help would be great the side car is a Harley .thanks

The fender is designed to release from the mounting at the axle area and pivot up to remove the tire. From '58 up the front brace was left off the sidecar fender. Where the rear brace and vertical brace come together the extension nut on the axle is the outer mount, the offset plate with stud is the inside mount. The offset plate bolts to the sidecar frame and the stud fits the slotted mount on the fender, when those mounting nuts are removed the fender is free to pivot forward on the step pivot.Robbie Knight Amca #2736
