Help identifying part

I got two of these parts in photo with a Harley LE sidecar frame I just bought. The spring and strap fitting appear to be Harley, but cannot identify part or what it fits. Hope photo goes through. Thanks.

I believe that's an overtravel leaf spring with one half+ of the check strap and spring.

Yup, over load springs and check straps for a package truck. They won't fit on an LE due to placement of the spring perches on the frame. they fit an M or MW. You can see one mounted in this picture.
