That is a good point Peter. I to want to see this forum become a better resource for people. I think facebook is bullsh!t and doesn't have the accessible information that you can find here. People talk about the AMCA providing the tools, and information to help them with their restorations, and here is the place where that can happen, yet more often than not, you hear crickets chirping, and no one home. You have been a great source of rare knowledge, and information and members should be here to take advantage of that. Our old bike knowledge has to be passed on, but younger members have to make the effort to come here, ask questions, and be willing to listen.

Duffy, I checked my catalog collection and this what I came up with. My 1917 Gotham Sporting Goods shows the same side car light as your Meco catalog shows. My 21 and 22 shows a totally different sidecar light with big fat lenses that look more like a 1948 woman's bra. There is so much great stuff in these catalogs I would love to post here but the paper it so thin that when you scan it the other side bleed though. Bob L

I went out into the sidecar light box and came up with these.
The two chrome ones are Lucas but all the others have no markings on them what-so-ever
The rusty streamline one sit perfectly on mudguards over 28x3 tyres but doesn't fit as well on smaller radius mudguards.
Any ideas as to the makers name for any of them, Lucas ones excluded of course.Peter Thomson, a.k.a. Tommo

I have had one similar to the last torpedo looking one Tommo shows-Nice collection
To scan thin paper: put a piece of black paper or plastic behind the paper being scanned[how I got the Meco ad above post#11]
-or use a digital camera[no flash]to get the imageLast edited by duffeycycles; 11-17-2014, 09:49 AM.
