  • sidecar brake lever

I am looking for the brake lever on the crossover shaft on a '49 HD sidecar that connects to the brake rod coming off the bike. Any help? Mike

I think you're talking about the stamped, flat steel PN 6181-41, Brake Cross-over Shaft Lever, left end (?) It is illustrated in a nice blow-up diagram on page 99 of the 1949 Big Twin Parts Catalog.

That's simpler than its predecessor, a cast part, 6181-36 and earlier, but all with a square hole in the brake shaft end and small round hole in the operating rod end.
