a car with a motorcycle engine?

That ghost image reflection is too cool/weird!
Remember that in the very early days there was little or no distinction between car engines and motorcycle engines. They all basically used the c1896 de Dion-Bouton engine which orig. was an air-cooled single with an aluminum crankcase which looks to us today like a motorcycle engine.
Seems like I've seen ads for the Crest engine very early, around 1901. That car looks very early vintage as well.
Later on (c1913) there was a cycle-car fad that did use motorcycle engines in lightweight autos, but that was long after auto engines had evolved away from the basic de Dion-Bouton type and into big heavy cast iron multi cylinder jobs.
