well that was kind of obvious.but the head appears to be an oval port,the first style hd made. 1916,or possibly earlier.the head that is.the rest of the bike appears to be a little of a homebrew.notice how it has the thor rear hub with the compensating sprocket.just like the big base indians.although the chain is not hooked directly to the engine,like the big base.the tanks appear to be 1915 style,not sure if they are single or twin,i cant make out any pockets.but it is a keystone type frame.though not a factory keystone.from alot of the pics i have seen it looks like it was common practice to remove a cylinder to compete in a different class.i think i have seen this rider before ,?Originally posted by Chris Haynes View PostLast edited by jurassic; 09-08-2008, 12:09 AM.Comment

Hey Lonnie, I tried to lighten the photo a bit... looks to be '14 tanks? 15 twin tanks had the pockets and I think the single tanks of '15 had a small pocket as well. The lettering on the tank is small type unlike the factory racers.
Check out the curved chainstays... perhaps to drop the center of gravity without hacking the seatpost casting and changing the angle of the tube?Comment
