Herb is right that there is no physical proof, or picture of any 1903 or 1904 Harley production motorcycles. But I have to question your assumption that all 4 of the Harley machines at the June 2nd and 3rd races were production HD motorcycles. Unless there is a picture showing all 4 machines, they very well could have been a combination of prototypes and early production bikes.

Hi Earl, you are right. It could be a combination of production and prototypes. I still think there is a photograph from that race somewhere. We just have to find it. That 1905 race was a big deal at the time and you know there were photographers there. 9 days later that photograph of Perry and his Harley-Davidson behind the post office showed up in the local newspaper.
