  • Belt Drive Pulley Repair Question

Preparing to repair this belt pulley, I have a jig and lots of clamps ready, but looking for the best glue or epoxy? to use on the wood. I'm also open to any ideas or comments on the repair, thanks.

OK no responses, does anyone fix old stuff anymore? OK got some marine quality epoxy and started mixing, glued and clamped the finger joint and the stress crack and let cure for two days. Heres some pics a touching up and before beginning sanding, seems to be holding great.

I just want to support what you did, Louie and love that you saved an old belt sheeve that needed a life extension. I think you did a good repair using modern water-proof adhesives. I fixed an old Troxel Jumbo plywood seat core that had delaminated like your sheeve. My boat crazy nephew recommended a marine glue (can't recall the product) and it worked beyond my expectations. Thanks for all the pictures. Even though no one responded with encouragement, I will bet that your documentation will inspire somebody (in the future) with the exact same problem on an old Excelsior, M-M, etc.
