Dick, from your post #11 above was the Michigan man who wrote the 1913 letter to Perry Mack by any chance George W Breed of Bay City?

It wasn't Mr. Breed but I know what your talking about. I believe Perry's Waverley motor was used in the Breed motorcycle. If you look at the motor it definitely wasn't Perry's Mack Motor. Herb knows more about the Breed than I do but somewhere I have some research on it.

Thanks, It appears the Breed twin might have made use of the Mack motor. I've just recently added many articles on Breed Mfg to my archives and from late 1912-1913 the Breed was reportedly winning races on tracks in Michigan.
