Going through my files I came across this 1913 article form the "The Technical World Magazine" in 1913. I searched the files here on the forum and nothing showed. So here it is. Volume XIX, August 1913, No. 6. I get a kick out the belief that silk underwear will "Divert" the wood splinters. Ya right!

I agree Pem, but i just wish it was a long winded article. Blows my mind that they were payed so little In comparison to the risks they were taking~some things never change, as far as lousy management.

I highly recommend "THE SPEED KINGS", by Don Emde. along with Stephen Wright's book, "AMERICAN RACER". Best books ever written (or will be written) about the early days of board track racing. They may be hard to find, but get them while you can !
