    Teens single cylinder magneto

Was wondering if single cylinder magnetos are set up to be clockwise or counterclockwise lie the 2 cylinder mags. Looking at buying a mag and the guy asked about rotation of mag. Any experts out there to shed some light on this subject? Thanks

Funny, I never thought about that but rotation would probably make a difference. I've always wanted an early single cylinder motorcycle for the simplicity, and ease of starting. I had one but let it go before I got a ride on it. Another one of my stupid decisions

Yes, rotation does matter, as does the location of the advance arm. Some mags have the arm pointing forward, some aft. For clarification, magneto rotation is ALWAYS referenced when looking at the drive shaft end.
