  • Which Metals Were Used?

    Friends,

    Were the engine cases, cylinders, pistons, rings, crank shafts, connecting rods, etc.,
    all the parts of the engines in the WWI era and prior, made of steel exclusively? Or
    were a variety of metals used for this part or that? I love to here details as you know
    them. Thank you as always.

    A wide variety of metals. Steel Aluminum, Bronze, Cast Iron, Copper, Tin, etc..
