  • Steffey pre 1900 water cooled

    Damned I`m having a good time reading magazines from 1900.
    Found this picture in an article regarding the future for motorcycles, dated May 1900 where they mention a Steffey from San Diego US with a water cooled engine as what might be the future.
    I recon as this is presented as early in the year as May in 1900, Steffey played with this in 1899 too?

        Chris, sure there is a bunch of great information regarding the Steffey, still from what I knew most seem to think they where produced from 1901 and on wards. The article from where I posted the illustration is dated early 1900, hence there is no doubt that Steffey played with cicles in the late 1800`s (my opinion).

        Have not seen any Marsh related yet, seems like there is mostly European brand bikes mentioned after 1903 and on.
