"Model 8A" would be a 1912 model. However, a "Model 9A" should be a 1913 model. The engine serial number "1646 C" indicates that it is a 1913 model 9 A, 35 ci. F-head single, magneto ignition, belt drive. Unoffical 9 A production was 1510 engines/cycles.
