  • pierce 4 cylinder help with price

trying to but a price on a 1912 pierce 4 cylinder motor carb and mag only.complete ( minus 1 primer cup and flywheel). no fin damage. intake manifold has been altered. crankcase still has glass sight tube.
i saw a 1910 pierce motorcycle pass at a vegas auction for $120,000( that would be $156,000 with buyers premium). anybody buy or sell one lately?

Apples and oranges comparing a VERY original, complete bike vs. a motor, even as a reference. There are actually quite a few of these motors around. I have seen these change hands in the 8-12k range. I know of a minty original motor with mag, carb, etc that could be had in that range TODAY.

I think you are off on your math. Buyer's premium wasn't 30%!

Is it just the motor without the rest of the bike? If so a couple of grand.
