Yup, but whaddya do with just an engine? I don't imagine you'd trip over many parts for one at the swap meets.

this bike is "number 2113". the engine was for sale with some other parts at oley about 10 years ago. it also has an original carb. too bad the pics on ebay are so crappy. this is one of the nicer bikes i ever built, and really correct for 1908.

Seriously I was thinking where would I ever find all the original parts needed to complete it. After a few phone calls it seemed to be an impossible task so I passed it. It did sell at that meet though.

I get ya. There aren't many originals left and to try and find parts from '06 could be a task left to many generations after you and even then it's doubtful it could be accomplished. It is nice to see that the lonely engines can be put back into service again though and jurassic does a pretty good job at it. It is also pretty darn refreshing to see an e-bay seller give the complete "true" rundown on a bike like the one currently up for auction.

I don't know about that. If a Knuck had repop parts that were being passed off as original, I may have a comment. Other than that, it's about riding for me and if it takes some repop to get it down the road then so be it. Dewey's comment is headed in the right direction. Compared to Strap Tanks, Knucks are rather plentiful....

Is this bike now owned by Jerry DeMille?

I'd say ask Bruce Linsday. He put some serious miles on one that was three years older!!!
