    Looking at just the frame, the later Merkels were quite sophisticated for their time. I've thought about painting mine dark blue, but orange is a knock-out color. Beautiful work Lonnie.

        the rebuilt valve train is only lacking a set of intake lifters. I need to find one to copy.

              Is this picture hinting at some kind of filler being used in 1913? There must have been something. What was it. Spot putty is what I think it's called now.
