WTB Honda 450 Upper Fork Tree

My brother just bought a project bike to get started the restoration world. It's a 1974 Honda CB450 DOHC like our father used to have, and it is pretty complete. One major problem is the upper triple tree is cracked where the tubes clamp. Apparently this is a common problem.

Does anyone have one they would sell? Or advice on what years are the same?

I have a 1966 450 but I don't have a spare top tree. You do see them on ebay so I don't think it will be impossible to find. I just wanted to give you encouragement, and support as I think the 450 is a great motorcycle, with one of the most beautiful parallel twin motors in motorcycling. Good luck with it.

I'm sorry, Joe, I don't know that much about what was shared with the later mid-size Honda bikes. Off hand, and from casual observation it looks like Honda interchanged many chassis parts on their mid-sized bikes, and well into the 1970s. I hope someone can answer your question, and shed some light on the Honda part# system. I know Honda was an engineering based company in those days, and I would think they would have shared as many parts with other models as they could for economic reasons.
