Is Boyer a good choice for A 1979 Bonnieville?

Although I still run (and prefer)the original points in my pair of vintage triumps. The Boyer seems to be the "conversion " ignition of choice over at the Triumph forum.

Boyer ignitions do seem to be the choice of a lot of people, yet the topics concerning ignition problems seem to be full of guys with questions about their Boyer units. Very rarely do you hear anyone looking for help with their points and condenser setups. I’m just saying!
