Hey,deciper I am new to this or any forum,so if I embarass myself, forgive me. I just purchased an older, but not that old Triumph Bonne' 750. I need help with the vin. There seem to be only 12 digits- they are T140ECX05576. I will take any help I can get, especially a web site that will decipher the vin and help with tech. info. Thanks for any help.

According to my refrence library the following applies:T140 is a 750 CC.,E means it has Amal MK II Carbs, C means it was built in March,X says it is a 1978.

That's correct, but the E did not stand for emissions, only for the interduction of the different Carb's
