I bought a 66 Trophy and the wiring was a homemade nightmare. The manual is vague on the proper coil wiring but I think I have it right. Hoping someone can
confirm that for me. At the points I have the black/white wire going to the forward set of points and the black/yellow to the rear set. The B/W then goes to the - terminal on the coil that’s mounted on the left side of the bike which feeds the right cylinder. The B/Y wire goes to the - terminal on the coil mounted on the right which feeds the left cylinder. The condensers by the coils are connected to the - terminals. The 12V from the battery is hooked to the + terminals on the coils. Enough to make your head spin so I hope it’s right.
