I have an opportunity to buy an 1952 Thunderbird. But it is coming from an estate sale and doesn't have a title - only a bill of sale. I can't register it in Florida unless I can prove that it was originally sold in a "non-title state". Without a title I can't ride it legally. Does anyone know if Triumph sales records are available this far back? or have any other ideas on tracking down the first or last owner? Thanks

In England the sales and shipping records along with log books can tell you who the last owner was. In America the records only tell who it was shipped to (distributor), but not to individual dealers or first owners. Most states have a process for titling older vehicles with no available paperwork. You might need to go higher up the chain to find the right person.Robbie Knight Amca #2736
