    hi. just joined club. also a member of ohio valley bsa owners club. i have a 1950 golden flash in original paint devon red. bike was dispatched to rich child in sept. of 1950.trying to find info on header pipes. never seen these on an a-10. also have a 1953 golden flash. hoping things go a little smoother this year. thanks

    Welcome to the club. Glad to see a Brit fan here. Those are nice bikes. The mufflers, and likely the headers as well on the '50 are probably MCM, although they could be Sackville headers. Both were available for a variety of makes at the time and the twin upsweep style was popular. As to competition use it isn't very likely, more so just off road use as many period bikes were. The stock front fender and stock wheels point to more staid use.
