Anyone who seriously tries to do Schebler HX models thoroughly is probably out of his mind.
(And if he's doing GX models too, he is REALLY scary.)

Very nice HX-130 type Schebler; with the '17-'19 Henderson only air shutter. I agree with you about rebuilding a Schebler; I really made a mess of the one I screwed with a few years ago. Everything above the bowl is a nightmare.

The most diabolical part, Eric,..

...Is the radiused friction washer that retains the throttleshaft.
If the bore is honed of throttledisc wear, then the radius of the washer must match.

Since no more should be removed from the bore than necessary, each fresh throttle disc and friction washer must be cut, and mated, to match the bore, so that the 'daylight' around them when closed is an absolute minimum. If you are as particular as we should be...

The rest is ordinary blood, sweat, and tears.

Why? I've rebuilt a few. I just use a #13 disk and toss that top of the neck thing. I make a new throttle shaft and tap for screws. Screw that solder the disk thing. I make the wavy piece out of 316 Stainless steel. Mount the body in the mill and drill the high speed body to take a 2.5MM dowel pin. Takes all the slap out The top is not scary at all. It's how you attack it. Bob L

But a 13º disc will not cross the idle screw correctly. It will barely touch it. Try a 10º, or 11º at most.

A "wavy" friction washer will leave an air gap. Unless you solder it!

And don't look twice, but few Hens, if any that I am aware of, used 1¼" HX models. Early nominal 3/4" models would have had a 1 1/8" disc, and nominal 1" models had a 1 3/16" disc.

The wavy thing is a top the throttle shaft. #13 fits like a charm you just got to cut out for the idle screw. You really need seriously help Tom.

I have HX-130s on my '17, and '19 Hens. It's the carb Henderson used in those years.

The carb on the bike is a tillotson. Is this not correct for 1925?
