A dream come true for me. I can't believe I have found the holy grail of American motorcycles.
Yesterday I bought an original paint Crocker V-twin motorcycle that has been sitting in a barn for almost twenty years.
It appears to be complete and original and stored under a sheet in a farmer's barn.
The engine spins over and good compression.
It runs through all the gears and the clutch seems to work.
It seems they even drained the carburetor and gas tanks before storing it, so there are no bad gas issues.
The farmers' daughter sold it to me for less than the cost of a decent Shovelhead. I told her it was worth more but she insisted that was all her dad would have wanted her to sell it for.
I am blown away by this bike, and hope to have it running later today.
Oh, and Happy April Fool's Day.
