As these reports from the NZ Wheeling magazine are not really ads I've put them here and hope they are in the right spot and are of interest Big X 10001.jpgBig X 20001.jpgBig X 30001.jpgBig X 40001.jpg

A very poor quality photo taken 21st March 1921 of Steve Whitehead on the Excelsior and Percy Coleman on the 8 valve Indian
The Excelsior still exists Big X 150001.jpgPeter Thomson, a.k.a. Tommo

Tommo,
WOW, Thanks for posting all of hat great information! After reading all those glowing reports, why would any man even consider buying any other make??!! I have built a few X's and I can say this: When they are set up right, hey are fast and fun machines to ride, that's for sure! However all the glowing reports about how well everything is built, perfectly lubricated, extremely reliable and all that I have to laugh! Other than the NOS parts I've been fortunate enough to acquire, EVERY Excelsior part I find is damaged and worn beyond belief! Even at that, they were still running when those parts were worn out I guess.
Thanks Tommo!!

Gene,
Glad you like it and I agree with your comments.
My 1920 is very tired and although complete and in an as ridden state it requires some serious attention before it can be ridden again.Peter Thomson, a.k.a. Tommo
