  • Visitor's messages?

    Did you know, Folks,...

    That if someone sends you a 'visitor's message', and you click on the sender,...

    You can see his messages to everyone else!

    PS: The red notifications button won't go out now.

    Interesting observation Cotten;
    Mysteries of the internet and computer systems.
    Sounds like some "glitch" or "gremlin" in the program.
    I struggle with basic mechanics so the "internet" is beyond me.

      Finally extinguished the red notifications button, Folks!

      Had to 'dismiss' the visitor's message.

      It was incomplete, so I may never know what he wanted.

      This forum's format has more useless bells 'n whistles than a Mardi Gras parade.

        I don't disagree with you Tom In regard to a forum . All I need is a reasonable text and image posting opportunity that also gives updates on what's the latest responses and newest posts. The rest is unnecessary. I found the simple nature of the early Yahoo groups (which then transitioned over to ioGroups when Yahoo died) to be just about the right format. I still enjoy seeing posts and members' questions and discussions on Virtual Indian. I have followed The Ironed Sportster Garage for years but instead of it transitioning like Virtual Indian did to ioGroups it opened shop on Facebook. Facebook has so much that threads get buried and you really have to go through every post to find something again. On our forum I just ignore the bells and whistles.
