    Judging at Dixon

I entered a bike for judging for the very first time at Dixon just for the experience. The bike won an award... are they mailed out?

I was very impressed with the judging process. I am into mostly pre-1915 bikes, but entered the only British bike I have ever owned (61 Thunderbird) because I don't know them well and wanted the judges to pick it apart.

I also wanted to comment that Dixon was a great meet. I hadn't been there in several years, but plan on making it an annual event.

It was a good experience. The only downside that I could see was the judging went late afternoon on Saturday, about 4 pm or so. The place was a ghost town. It was 3 am in the morning by the time I got home. Why couldn't the judging be earlier in the day, say 10 am? I suppose I could have spent another 100 bones on a hotel. All in all, though, great meet.
