    1934-1939 were Cadmium plated. Later were all Parkerized.

      Thanks, that is what Bruce says. I have a friend with nos ones that are parkerized only. I was questioning it because in 2012(attached link in post #1) you and Cotton seemed to think they were possibly painted.

        The star covers were not cad in 1939 I think you will find that the change to Parkerized took place sometime in 1937?
