Just finished doing my WL tank with POR15 and I was very pleased with the results so far.

    Gas Tank Sealers

I'm in the middle of a major gas tank repair on an Excelsior tank. The tank was compromised by many pinhole leaks so I cut an access hole in the top and have just finished sand blasting the inside. I plan to solder all of the holes from the inside and then spot weld a flange to the access hole I cut and solder the panel back on. I've done this before with great success but my question for the membership is about tank sealers. I have used 'Red Coat' and POR 15 and both work well, but I have noticed that 'Red Coat' turns gas red, and POR 15 seems to dry very hard which makes me wonder if it could crack. I've seen tank sealers from JEGS, and Summit racing and wonder if anyone has experience with their products. Also, there is a sealer from Hirsh automotive products. First hand accounts would be most appreciated.
