  • Fiber Tech

I am using something that a friend just told me about that you may not be familiar with. I have been working on the older fiberglass saddle bags. You know the edges are the hardest part of any repair job, and those bags have edges all the way around. Regular fiberglass is soft, and will not hold up real well for this application. Fiber Tech, from Evercoat is what was recomended to me. I used it yesterday, and I must say that is is good. Hard as a rock! It is already reinforced with "high tech" fibers. Just mix it with a little hardener, like usual, and it is ready to be used, in a hurry, of course. I don't know much about body work, but I just found out about this, so I thought maybe there are others that haven't heard of it either. I had to order it at Auto Value becase they don't carry it on the shelf, and the clerk didn't have a clue what it was. It is rather expensive, but for specific repairs, it sure seems worth it to me. That's all folks.
