Extend hardener life

I was reading the info on my can of hardener. It said as soon as the can is opened it will need to be used in 40 days. Is there any way to extend that time? Is the air is that is the problem after the can is opened? Stan

Yes, make sure you clean the cap and the top of the can very well, and keep in the refrigerator.

I was told that the hardner comes from the factory with argon in it to displace any air, so after opening you replace the argon(it is heavier then air) it will last longer
