Indianut, email me direct or email Kat. I believe I have a set. I am looking for a matching set of oem 42wla tanks in good condition. I want the ones without the oil emblem embossed in the sheet metal. At least, I think that is what I need. My 42wla is an early type III. Would consider trade. Oh yeah.. my tanks are right hand shift with script and gate. Paps

I have a pair of flathead tanks from the early 40's (not OHV), but am not sure if they are the same for the UL and WLs (or WLAs). I am at work and can't look it up in Palmer right away. The tanks have been repainted black. Let me know if they'll work for you and if you're interested. I'll check in Palmer tonight or tomorrow.
