After much trial and error I have come up with a formula for Skyline Blue from PPG products.
I have a friend
with an original painted 58 pan that was used for the match, and I believe we
nailed it. The following formula numbers are what I have had mixed and I cannot guarantee
it is exact, I have not found anyone that says it isn't a perfect match.
Concept (DCC)
SKU Desc. Inc. (part) Cum (part)
DMC900 STR WHITE 311.1 311.1
DMC904 BLUE 148.5 459.6
DMC928 Yellow 122.9 582.5
DMC931 Violet 26.5 609.0
I have no idea as to what these numbers mean except that you may be able to save a bunch of $ on quality paint.
As always there is no guarantee this is perfect but you will get a color that you will be close enough to tweek any way you may need. not all mixers are the same as is human.
