Just for clarity, Folks,...

Hot sunlight (or a hairdryer) melts a good wax into where it is needed most, reducing "polishing" to a minimum.

I am certain that many waxes are Parkerizing-friendly, and a decent thread lube as well, something to consider with adjustable assemblies.
