1968 XLH Color

Large tank came out in 1961, replacing rounded tank used 1957 -1960. Skirted front fender last used on 1966 XLH. Electric start came in 1967 with new headlight nacelle on XLH

It looks like what you have is a repaint to the 67 scheme, although the color is not HD and the stripes (should be 1/4") are not correct. 68 was the year that HiFi blue was replaced with HiFi Sparkling Blue, the later being darker that the the earlier paint. Given its excellent condition, I would search for original paint sheet metal. Jet Fire Orange was introduced in 68 and is a striking color.

Actually, Hi-Fi Blue and Sparkling Blue were two different colors and paint compositions - Personally, I really loved the Hi-Fi Blue.
