  • 1965 tank panels question

    Re-asked question:

Can anyone post clear photos (beyond a thumbnail) of the original panel scheme for civilian (not police) 1965 3.5gal tank-shift gas tanks?

    Many thanks again in advance,

I saw this post Cotten and immediately went to some of my road run photos.... remembering a couple of '65 Pans were present on one of them. I found 'em and they were foot-shift!!!! No luck here...

It is the same as the 5 gal. except it drops down lower because the emblems are lower on the 3 1/2 tanks.

        Upsrod!

That would be my personal taste, but I fear it may not be "correct".

Attached are a couple of useless thumbnails I snagged from this forum some time ago, and have forgotten who submitted them.
They were claimed to be original at the time.

Can anyone give me the width of the panel "stripes"?

Thanks again from myself, and my painter thanks in advance as well,

They should be 1/4 stripe and 1/4 spacing.
