I am getting ready to choose paint for my 74' FLH and am getting hung up on what the "correct" paint is. I found this....

along with numerous other photos of bikes from the period. I my intent is to restore the bike to it's original condition. I have restored a couple of other bikes, but this is the first time I have vowed to make the restoration "correct". I have gathered that as long as the bike is painted as it was offered in the year of manufacture, it will pass muster with the purists. To be honest, the more I look for correct examples, the more variations I seem to find. I am hoping the community can answer a few questions for me.....
1) I am told that the "King of the road" package could be ordered in either white or black, is this correct?
2) Are the stripes along the tops of the fenders correct? Did the stripes exist on colors other than black?
3) Did the buddy seat come in black as well as white?
I hope some someone can chime in and guide me in the right direction. Of course I have more questions but I will start here. Thanks in advance to all those willing to indulge my ingnorance.
