    Aging aluminum

I'm looking for tips and suggestions on artificially aging aluminum castings. Thanks.

i've used that easy off oven cleaner. turns the aluminum dark, then i work it back from there. only tried it on rough cast cases though.

Eric, why don't you pretend like your fishing, (we know you love seafood), and drop the castings off a line in Tampa Bay for a while.

Jurassic, that worked great and Easy Off does a fantastic job of removing grease too . . My wife is not getting it back. It's amazing how well many kitchen utensils, and chemicals work on motorcycle junk. Bob, Tampa Bay is a lot cleaner than it was when you lived here in Florida. Back then I wouldn't have put my big toe in it. Also, I'm going to have some pictures for you very soon.
