online paint samples?

are there any websites where you can see what the colors actually look like for your model year? for example, Palmers' book says color options for 1947 included Skyway Blue, Flight Red, etc. how can i see what they look like?

Keep in mind there will be some colour variance from monitor to monitor. I think the older they get the worse they get. Given that caveat, I know of two online sources. This one:

attempts to cover all years, but frankly I don't find the colour samples that helpful. They all seem rather on the dark side (at least on my monitor). The second is here:

This only covers the years the Hummer (nee 125, 165) was available and the colours offered on that model ... Perry
